I was trying to find a way to create oxygen without having to pay alot of $$$ for a oxygen tank to put oxygen in to fish bag when I ship them. I googled it and found a artical that uses Common Household 3% Hydrogen Peroxide and lead to make a cemical reaction to create oxygen and had a few questions:

Has anyone tried this?
Is this safe?
Any good ideas on capturing the oxygen in a tank? (balloon)
Any good ideas on how to improve on this?

oxygen tablets are cheap and cheerful. probably cheaper than you experimenting with hydrogen peroxide and lead until you get it right. a couple of quid and you get quite a few tabs.
or use kordon breathable bags. they dont cost much more than regular ones but i am unsure of how good they actually are.

any half decent lfs should have them. try garden centres that sell aquatic equipment as they will most likely have them too. even if they dont sell fish they will most likely have them around the additives area, ie aquasafe, treatments etc.

If you are just shipping, then I would just take an air pump and fill the bag up with it before tying it off. You should have plenty of oxygen to ship with doing this method. Breather bags do drip out condensation, but I've been told that they work amazing if you take the precautions when setting up your box for shipping.
