DIY patio/pond project

I made sum plans last night for a stand for my bathtub pond and a new bigger pond. While doing this i made one on how to turn my patio into a new room for BBQ and keep my ponds in. Here is wat i am thinking. any ideas, sugestions, comments???


Sum dont have any measuremeants(did all these at 2am - 5am). I will start to figure out the size of the big pond once i get the Bench/pond stand installed and can see wat room i have to play with.


In the 3 pic of the stand w/o tub it says "hole for front white thing on pond" that is a part on the tub that sticks down 14.25"(as u can see in last pic) so im gana have it part way go in that hole and be back a lil bit from wat drawers are and attatch the "Cover" so it will be flush with the drawers and cover up the white part with wood. If u look at the 3rd pic of "Pond Stand(side)" and in the 4th of "Cover(side)" it will fit over tub when it is droped in and be screwed down to hold in place and give tub a nicer look.

Your rents wont let u have one?? That sux. Im a senior in high skwel now. My and my friend kind just brought this to my house cuz we were at my aunts and she has sum nice ponds...Heres a link to her ponds

But me and my friend saw those and we wanted to start one for ourselves. Eventually we want to find a doughboy pool do keep our fish in :D

But for not this will be good and make the patio a great place to have BBQs and hang out with sum nice relazing fish to watch as we sit/eat. Thats y I have the pull out tables so u can Cook sum stuff on the BBQ and pull out a table and eat :grinyes:
 
Ok so 27 ppl have viewed this but only 1 personhas commented. Im looking for suggestions. and if u are confused the first pic is upside down. I want sum sugestions on wat i could do to improve this project. These are just sum quick Plans i made last night.


If any1 wants me to take sum pix of the patio so u can get an idea of wat i have to work with. So if any1 has any sugestions plz. Even if u think it is good the way it is just let me know. I still have to get the marteials for this project and im hoping to get as much input b4 I start on it.
 
hmmm i just so happen to have an extra bathroom that no one ever uses ,, hhhnnnnnmmmm what could i put in a bath tub? By the way I see you or aproud supporter of renal advances. lol
 
I think it is a good idea if your parents let you. That would be a bit of an expensive project though. Good luck

Now for the down side... Will the deck take the weight or can you brace it from underneath?

The space behind the tub pond would be a great place for a bio-filter with floating hyacinth
and water lettuce. Also makes a nice back drop or if you do it right it could look like one big pond.

Oh, don't have the BBQ too close to the ponds... grease spatter etc.

Its solid Concert ground :D so im sure that it could support it. If u look at the first pic it is 38 feet from one end to the other. Im sure that it will be far enough away from the BBQ to not get hit with anything from the BBQ.

Thx for the Idea of the bio filter. Never thought of that. I was gana stick sumplants there or sumthing :P.
