I agree with you totaly. My RTC goes through pellets like they are going out of style. thats why i switched to raw foods. wich is actually cheaper than MAssivore. but if i can take some of the cheaper cichlid pellets and mix it with that i think that i will get much more "bang for my buck." thank you for all of your help.

I've mentioned the idea of making sausages for my predatory cats and am planning on starting that in the near future. Seems to me like a good alternative to pellets and gels when monster portions are needed. Currently I cram as many pellets as I can fit into whole fish and shrimp and it's a huge PITA.
If you aren't already getting your seafood at one, try to find an Asian market. They generally have a wide variety of fresh and frozen fish and crustaceans at very reasonable prices.

I will have to look into that. I don't know of any around my area. But really liking the idea of monster sausages! the volume of food needed to feed these guys is incredible. Oh the stuff we do for our animals.
