Would an indoor plywood tank lined with pond liner, making it an indor pond, last as long as the liner or longer?

so whats the best way to build a tank with plywood and stud frame, and pond liner to hold the water.

I was thinking doing one like perfect_prefect one day, it looked sturdy enough before he took it down.
or something similar to your stand.

I really like the way my stand turned out. There is nothing I would have changed about that. I pretty much feel the same way about my tank buikd as well. The framing is pretty much 2x4s, 16" on center with another 2x4 overlapping the ends along the top. Much like home contruction. How do you plan to seal the pond liner to the viewing window and are you going glass or acrylic?

I really would not know how I would seal in a viewing window, but i would do acrylic.

If you are going to use acrylic and a pond liner you can drill the acrylic and secure the viewing windo wlike this.

The bolts will draw the window into the pond liner creating a gasket.

Now thats engineering, THanks.
