Let me start by saying I'm no Mr. Fix-it. I attempted to build a wood stand for my 40gal breeder. I did a search and found what I needed and about a day later I built what I thought was a pretty good first attempt. Set everything up and noticed that the tank didn't really sit on the stand a 100% level. So in my genius I got out the wood shims (and from researching found out this was my error) and leveled the tank. Great job! Not really a week later I sprung a leak.
So now I have to reseal my tank and fix my stand. I was going to scrap the stand but reconsidered, I didn't want to give up that easy plus I spent some cash making the stand and didn't want it to go to waste. I think I fixed the stand problem now I'm going to attempt the reseal. My wife said in the end I'm gonna put more money in this project than going out and just buying a new tank and stand
, I'm determined to prove her wrong which I never do, but there is first time for everything. I just hope this doesn't become the never ending project or the million dollar tank and stand build.
