Ok so I have done some research and started putting together a rock wall out of Styrofoam and grout. This one I am making is for a vivarium but I want to make one for my aquariums as well. Now I have seen people talk about fiberglass resin as a coating to make it fish safe. I am using a Poly blend satin varnish for the vivarium wall and plan on still soaking it just to be safe. My question is, can I use the same varnish for an aquarium background as well?
Here is the pic of the current one I am working on. This is my first one and I am planning on doing many things differently (design) on the aquarium wall. As you can see I have a fountian that will be running out from the top using a small sub pump.
