So I was thinking of attempting a diy Rotary Drum Filter.

The one thing I can't figure out though is how to seal the intake pipes to the drum. It needs to be a watertight seal but also needs to allow the drum to rotate. Something like a front load washing machine but on a smaller scale.
The only thing I could think of would be to use fittings from a garden hose. But those don't exactly seal very well.
Any ideas?
