I need an affordable way to keep a small stack of plastic containers warm (eventually) for my slug breeding project. If I keep a little water in the bottom of an aquarium and submerge a heater in it, will enough heat rise to keep some boxes warm? I could put lids on top to contain the heat. Seems more logical than trying to find a bunch of heating pads, and the warm tops of my aquarium lights will only work for so long.
