DIY Sponge Filter, Slight Mod on Standard.

Ok Basically been thinking of doing a DIY Sponge Filter, but i was wondering whether having gravel in that little bit of pc above the airstone would work (keeping in mind i mean quite coarse gravel.)
Please refer to my lously drawn diagram if you don't quite get what i mean.

=) laptop, no mouse, on paint... was hard, i'm quite proud of my effort considering intoxication level at the time =P but yes it is funny.

and awesome, gonna give it a go today, might take some pictures of my method of making and post it up if it works
