I planned on doing a step-by-step kinda thing, but just kept on working through for some reason. I did manage to snap a few pics along the way, but mostly in the later stages. My garage now looks like a tornado went through it. :nilly:

Almost finished. Has a nice coat of saw-dust on it here

Here is another shot w/ even more saw-dust. I cut out some of the top for 2 reasons. The stand was heavier than I had thought it would be, & w/ the pieces cut out of the top it gives me somewhere good to grab when the times comes to move it.

Here are a few pics of the canopy.

Front part of the canopy w/ trim

Back side of canopy w/ lights installed

After I finished the canopy, I decided the front part was too heavy. I could either build a new front part, or try to lighten the one I had already built. Figured I would attempt to lighten the one I already built, & build another if it didn't work.

I used aluminum flashing on the inside of the canopy to act as a reflector for the lights, & help protect the wood from water damage & humidity at the same time. I used silicone & small sheet metal screws to attach the aluminum to the canopy. Removing it meant cutting away all of the silicone which really sucked.

Then I just out a section of the 1x10 I used to make the canopy. Problem was I glued the paneling to the 1x10. Was able to get it out w/ a few prybars, but it tore the paneling in 5 different spots right in the middle. With some wood glue & some filler I was able to get it back to "good enough". It doesn't look perfect, but it's good enough for me at this point. Just ready to be finished.

Nice job!
