Diy stand idea

I got a nice little white fluval flex 9 gallon. I think it’ll look great on a nice white stand, so why not build my own. I haven’t build anything out of wood in a while, but I also want to to look nice. I want it to look similar to a Red Sea reefer stand. Found this image on google, and may make a version of this that’s smaller. Is there something more simple I can make, because I want there atleast 2 sides, maybe a back, and a hinge door?

Measure the the length and width and make a simple square stand.

This was quick, but something like this? Base(bottom), walls(on bottom), then roof.

Yes you could put a section of plywood on top just make sure everything is square and level.

I suggest 3/4 plywood and apply a waterproof stain on it.

Water based polyurethane would be a much stronger more water resistant finish.
