I'm in the process of building a stand for my 220g, I have been debating (with myself :D) if I should enclose the back of the stand. I have an extra sheet of 5/8" plywood, so it won't set me back any $$. It will make the stand a little heavier and probably a little more stable. But do I really want the back enclosed?

I have never enclosed the back of a stand before.

we had a corner stand that was enclosed in the back with holes drilled for the tubing. it was a nightmare, especially when we were breaking it down. i wouldn't ever have the back of a stand enclosed on purpose again.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm going to leave it open.

HEY MATE I DID ONLY HALF OF IT BECAUSE IT SQUARES YOUR CABINET AND ALSO BRACES IT , IF U NAIL 100MM APART TOP AND BOTTOM AND I FEW UP THE SIDES IT STOPS IT FROM MOVING SIDE WAYS , BUT ALSO DEPENDS ON HOW HIGH YOUR STAND IS IF IT WAS OVER 1000MM HIGH I WOULD .
