DIY stand

Hey, I need help. Just picked up a 55gal.. I need to build a sturdy stand. Nothing special. I was thinking some 2x6 and screws.. Please advise

If you already have the lumber by all means use it. But 2x6 lumber is way overkill for a 55. 2x4 is more than strong enough.

I'd also recommend using wood glue at all connections. Probably not much structural contribution but it'll helpt prevent creaking and keep it solid.
