So I have decided to make a steel stand for my 125gal, I can get the steel through work so I am just going to cut it all to size and have it welded. I am going to use 2x2x.120 HSS. Let me know how the design looks, I drew it up pretty quick.

doesnt look too bad, might want to proportion your angle braces to distribute a little more even on the top rail, aka move them slightly in so they have equal distances on both sides, nice coat of paint or powder coat, and it would look good, or just panel the outside with some nice ply and trim

Are you saying move the gussets more towards the center? I am going to build a wooden "shell" to make it look nice.

yea, say if the distances were 6" 18" 6" try and even it out so you have roughly 12" 12" 12", just helps distribute the weight a little more evenly, and yes it does need finished in some sort or you could get a bit of a rust cloud in there :D

Yeah I forgot to mention that it will be either painter or powder coated
