Just getting back into the hobby. Family has been in the pet shop business for many years but college and grad school forced me out. A simple DIY pond and hang on feed bucket turned mech, chem, wet/dry filter and I'm in business. Total cost maybe $150 for a 55x36 inch footprint. Closed loop system with about 400 gal going to filter and 400 to circulate pond. Need to do a little fine tuning. Redo spray bar, etc. It will work for now.

Nice! Are you sure that's 400? It looks like a small footprint for rays? Maybe its just the pics ...

Foot print is 55"x36". 400gpm going to filter and 400gpm going to circulation. Thanks for the comment. I may start importing rays again with the connections through the pet shop. Well see. Sounds crazy but I'd like to have the largest collection of Leo's and variants, pearls, and MM in the Midwest maybe the country. Already have a connection for F1 pure leos. Looking at a greenhouse operation with commercial fiberglass vats similar to the Florida aquafarm business.

I remember when we used to get Leo's for $150 bucks. Imports but pure blood. Ah those were the days. Shoot 5 yrs ago I had over 10 species of rays on my wholesale list. I'll be in touch for some stock for sure.

a greenhouse operation in mi. dont cheap out on the automatic generators for power failures in the winter. might be cheaper in heating to move south a little bit. keep the dream alive and keep us updated.

Well a good start to Fw ray breeding facility would be a trio of trevs Leos! They are super nice. Good luck keep us updated!
