I am just curious if anyone has an effective idea/plan for an overflow for a GLASS tank without drilling anything of course. In the future, i plan on getting a larger tank, and i wanted to see what my options are for filtration. one of the ideas i had was a sump made from a rubbermaid tub. It would really depend on whether i can have an overflow that is not at high risk of draining the tank. Also, this tank is most likely going into a bedroom. is there a way to make a sump quiet enough to fall asleep near? thanks!

There are lots of overflow options. If you are looking for DIY options you might want to check out CHOMPERS thread. You can also go with a full or separate pretzel style overflow. Just a few of the options out there.... The is a even a sticky....
