DIY tank divider using egg crate. Help

I bought a 2x4 ft piece of egg crate to make a tank divider for my FHs. My tank is 1x2 ft. I want to get 4 dividers out of this. What can I buy or use to cover the sides so it isn't sharp and damage fish. This is so I can get 4.

The sides are going to go up against the sides of the tank so you would not need to cover them. Just cut them to fit snug. And you can sand sharp edges a little to make them rounder. It won't be any sharper than a rock in the tank.

For people w acrylic tanks worried about scratches i usually suggest a piece of vinyl tubing w one cut down the length so it'll wrap around each edge of the eggcrate. Perhaps this will help you.

I've used sand paper for the edges myself, works like a charm
