OK I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I'm not finding a tank in the size I want (7x3x2 or 2.5) unless I have it custom built (big $$$). So I'm considering building it myself. I'm not any kind of skilled when it comes to building things so I'm wondering which is easier to work with for a rookie like me...and if there are any general good or bad points to either tank once it's done (not just the building). I've only had glass in the past so any thoughts on whether a finished glass or acrylic tank is "better" are welcome also.
Going in I'm leaning toward acrylic just based on the likely weight of the glass at the thickness I'll need.
Also I'll be doing a DIY stand for it of course, any difference in building a stand for a all-glass vs. acrylic tank?
