i would say it probably can definitely be made from acrylic, theres one at my lfs that easily ten feet, and 5 feet high and 5 feet deep
those are my estimation as i dont know the actual measurements, but you could easily swim in it

Of cause it could be made , you just have to make sure its braced , supported correctly and that it's made out of the correct thinkness of ever glass or acrylic .
O' and when filled up full of water that it's on a floor that can propily hold it .
