A few weeks ago I bought a crab "cheetah crab", no one can ID it. But, any ways it cuts all of my plants and I wanter to seperate it from my 90g.

So I got a spare 10g, cleaned it out and put some natural colored gravel in it.

I found my spare blue LED lights, got cord ties and straped it to the bottom of the shelf above it.

I made a DIY filter from a powerhead (Marineland 660) form cichlid-forum.
But it doesn't work very good any other suggestions.

Here is a pic of it.

are the led's that strong that it makes the water look blue?

yes they are, the tank glows in my room, but the water should still be crytal clear, when I turn them off you can tell even better how clowdy it is.

Turn out that the filter media was being sucked into the power head making it useless, I found this out because it was making some obnoxious noises. Here some pics of it now. I have to go to the store and get an airstone, some plants, and driftwood before I can stock it.
