Here's my plan. 75 gal main tank with a 29 gal refug. Both show tanks. My main concern with building my own stand is making it square and level. I am also concerned with making it sturdy enough and so it doesn't twist on me. The corner post are made with 4x4's and the rest of it is built with 2x4's. Did i brace it enough, too much, the wrong way. Let me know your thoughts

I would say that would be strong enough i would definatly feel safe with that stand, my 500 gallon tank doesn't even have that much bracing and it holds fine (taking into consideration it is steel tho)

The only thing I would do differently is add extra legs under the bottom (where the 29 sits) to take the stress off of the screws that will be holding that board in place.

Other than that it looks awesome!

If you think about a 75 gallon cabinet you would get from petsmart, your idea is probably about 1000% more rigid. Those things are made from 3/8" particle board held together by a couple screws. In all honesty i think a simple rectangle made from 2x4's is probably more than enough support. Your idea looks good!
