diy wet/dry sump?

in a house
KK for starters i have these:
33gallon tupowear bin( dont know how to spell it) with top
also have a 20gallon tupowear bin with top
i have all my sponges/media/straws

1.)I need to get a pump and what else?
2.) how do i set it up with the items i have?
3.) anything else i'm missing.

Youre gonna need an overflow box, unless you tank is drilled.
Some PVC or flexible tubing to plumb it. And probably somthing else that Im forgetting.... ;)
 
o yea, i forgot about the overflow box :( and i cant drill the tank a lil to late lol.. hmm where can i buy an overflow box? i know where to get the pump and the plumbing.
 
modify a hang on filter for that duty.
i have two aquaclear 40-60's that i am plumbing in my my 150g with a 45g overflow box and a jet pump to push the water back up and into the tank

thankyou so much for that link, i have a quick ? though... i'm looking at the metal halidal light fixtures, i'm not sure which one to choose, i have a 30g-tall tank, do i get the 27" or the 36"? i kow it sounds dumb, but i'd rather be safe than sorry. this is my 1st tank set up.
 
Be careful with Aqautraders.

I actually spoke with them last year. They RARELY answer their phone. There were posts on other boards in the past about those guys customer service if somethings goes wrong.
