Hey mfkers... monster fish keepers not mother f*ckers haha... anyways im thinking about changing my crappy DIY shop lights to maybe a DIY White LED made from GE christmas lights? mabye add a strip of blue led for night.. Has anyone does this? pics please?

are you planning on planting the tank? If yes, the Christmas lights will not do the job.

Gu10 LED cool whites..
Cheap as normal house bulbs but strong enough to grow corals..
Simple fix, just plug them on the wall.

what LEDs are in the GU10 LEDs you are using. GU10 also run on 220V not on 12V. Not the best option in a marine tank
