do all female guppies have grave spots

i think just when pregnant. but if you have a male in the tank she will be pregnant and if you bought her recently and you dont have a male in the tank then she could still be as guppies can store sperm for a few months.

Ok thx, one more Q I have a male and female platy, I see no gravid spot, but they both came from a tank where it was just platy's no sex differecncial. So is she pregoo??? She is bright red, maybe I cant see it?

you should begin to see a gravid spot if she gets pregnant, if its not immediately visible it may be visible further into the pregnancy. even the most solid coloured livebearers should have a gravid spot visible as the further the term goes the darker it gets. if she shows no sign after a couple of weeks then i would imagine the male or female may not have fully working reproductive orgins. livebearers are always horny so if their organs are working then she will get pregnant, with no doubt.
however it is a long time since i have dealt with livebearers and my memory may be a little rusty with said info. google should be able to help you out a lot though.
