Do any saltwater rays look as good as freshwater rays.

Not so sure about patterns but in terms of color, SW wins by a mile.

sure there are SW rays with nice patterns. i personally dont like the patterns of FW rays, they're all pretty simple, and just tessellated. all FW rays are the same shape, too. yellow rays, cortez, bluespotteds, all "beginner" SW rays [i think][as far as any elasmobranch can be considered "beginner" species] with nice pattern/colour/shape.

The marine rays with the most color/patterns/etc... are usually very hard to keep, which is why you don't see many. The various types of blue spots are usually very sought after, but also known for being very picky eaters and highly water quality sensative.

Honeycomb (Urinak) rays happen to be a favorite of mine...but they get 6 to 8 feet across, so not a great home species.

Another nice looking member of the ray family are fiddler rays. Again, a bit big for the home tank. But they do offer a unique body shape and very impressive pattern.
