Do Aquatic Turtle's have to have heat lamp access??

Just wondering cause I've seen some setups without a heat lamp.

Depends on what kind of turtle. Most of them do like to bask.

I dont think fly river turtles do. whenever i see them it is in a completely aquatic setting.

It totally depends on the turtle species and the setup. Some species like snappers who don't truly bask just need the water at a correct temperature. Of course I've seen snappers in the wild bask in shallow water with just the tops of their shells out of the water.
