Do aurantis need caves for breeding?

They need cave for winter rest ,, for breeding they need floating plants,,

What will they do with no cave?

Does the cave need to be a certain size. Does it have to be able to house both auranti from head to tail?

My adult has dug out the gravel underneath a large piece of arching bog wood and sits there. His tail sticks out, but he seems happy. I read that they dig out holes in the substrate for shelter in the wild. I would say as long as they can get most of the way in, that should be enough. A mess of wood, stacked slate or a pot is what I choose to use
