As the question says, do bass keep growing in small enclosed spaces. I am trying to prove to my friend that putting a largemouth and smallmouth bass in a 41 gallon pond is DEFINITELY not a good idea.
Adult size is right off the bat over half as long as a 40 regular tank. With that said, the fish will stop growing due to the high nitrates in the water from it alone overstocking the tank, stunting it. The organs, however, continue to grow, causing imo action and eventual death. This is why goldfish, balas, cats, etc all do so bad in small tanks.
