I am moving tomorrow and I have all my gravel sitting in a bucket with water. Do I need to add an airstone or will the bb survive simply by being wet?

It's WAY more than an hour. The filter has already been turned off and is sitting full of water. So it wont be enough to simply keep the filter media wet, I will need to run an airstone? I only have one battery-powered air pump so maybe I can throw the media in with my fish somehow, i would think that's going to pollute it extremely.

I have a tank set up and running where I am moving, so it's really not that big of a deal. I can take a sponge filter out of it and place it in the new tank I'm setting up and hopefully with that and the used gravel it won't go through another cycle. I'm just wondering if I'm wasting my time trying to make sure the gravel and media stay wet if the BB will die anyway because they're sitting stangant. I would think they'd stay alive because I thought BB can build up even in a betta bowl.

Yeah I was thinking you didn't have a tank set up where your going and all your eggs are in one basket(the gravel) but since you can throw a sponge filter in there and the gravel, even if not much bb makes it, you should be fine.
