I hope I wasn't suppose to post this in the "breeding" forum. If so, sorry. I'm not breeding any of my fish. But, to settle my curiosity.... My small jag (4") has recently been digging "nests" in its home. A friend of mine has a midas/RD doing the same. Does this mean both are females, or do males also exhibit this behavior? Just curious. The only other fish of mine that has built a "nest" was my green terror and it laid eggs eventually in the nest. So more of the same with these guys??? Thx!

Jags male and female are terrific landscapers.....:irked::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

To an extent, but they show sex very very early...Post some pics bro....

Well "she" (so it's a girl?) just got stuffed with rosy red minnows, hikari bio-gold, and bloodworms. But it has looked rather fat in past days.

eggs soon?? even when so young??? it's only around 4 inches.

In this pic (where I made my determination) I think I can see her junk....Take a vent shot...net her out and flip her upside down and take a pic of her anus and vent....

Yes sir....I have a bunch of jags:D Well 5....A bunch to me...:D
