Do certain plants require fert tabs?

Hey all, participating in the thread about Flourish Excel got me to thinking of this, but I didn't want to risk taking that thread off topic.

So right now, I have Red Ludwigia, White Ribbon Plant, Wisteria, Aqua Fern, Banana Plant, and Lobelia Cardinalis. Will all of those do well with me adding Flourish and possibly Flourish Excel to the water column? Or do any of those specifically require fertilizer tabs at the root level?

not required but should help. you also have to know what your adding. excel is a liquid type of co2... carbon in a bottle. flourish is just the trace ferts the plants need. your still missing pnk the macro ferts. depending on your tank you may or may not need them.
