i am planing to breed cherry shrimp for bichir food and ya...
so do they need calcium supplements

We usually do add calcium for snails. I don't think you need to do that for cherry shrimps though.

^ I used to use the same stuff from my Cherries, and they loved it... now i use it for my Crays and Apple / Ramshorn snails as well...

For snails, you can simply drop Caltrate and they'll eat it if they want. I prefer Caltrate over Tums as it doesn't cloud the water as badly as Tums does. You could also make plaster of Paris pucks, buy calcium enriched pellets from Kensfish, or supply cuttlefish bones or snail jello (snail gel food rather) with calcium tablets included.
