Do cichla only spawn on flat rocks?

I've seen picture of the florida hybrids spawning on bottles and wood. I think its more of a smooth surface thing than a flat surface.

Ok. Thanks. I mean I have tile bottom and they didn't spawn so Idk lol. Maybe it has to be a raised surface or something.
