Do Cichla Prefer Fast Moving Water?

I know they come from rivers, but how fast are these rivers? Im curious on if I should add a power head to my tank to help increase the movement. The growout tank is at 10-12x the turn over rate right now and the pumps move some serious water. They're still small, 12inch and 10inch, so I was just curious if it would be benneficial to their health, or if it would stress them out?
 
Since you already have 10x turn over your probably fine. I add power heads to push poo, so if you don't have a poo problem I wouldn't bother.
