Do cichlids stop growing at a certain age ?

I just got a ten inch jaguar, its has been caught in a pond, not knowing its age, is there a possibilty that it would stop growing at this size ?

Female Maybe male no male jags don't stop growing until 16-18 inches females usually around 12 Maybe 10

All depends really u rarley see massive jag males my old male topped out at 14" but I guesse urs had some growin still to do

Yes that's Parachromis Managuensis, a nice looking male. Seeing how it was caught in a larger body of water, it's probably only about a year old. I'd expect him to hit 14-16", I've never seen any get too much bigger in an aquarium

My male jaguar hit 16" after 5 years. He was stuck at 12" for years and just bulked up then he started getting longer
