Very good answer. A lot of loaches do hail from fast flowing waters so depriving them of what they are comfortable at, would be very cruel for them.

A lot of loaches do, but for the most part Clown Loaches do not fall into that category. As long as 02 requirements are met, there is no need for a powerhead.
