do corys eat shrinp?

do corydoras eat shrimp???

i was once told at a lfs when asking about cherry shrimp that you cant keep any shrimp with corys as corys eat them, is this at all true as i want some cherry shrimp for my planted gulper tank which also contains platenum tetra, panda corys, kuli loach, ottos and assasin snails

the gulper only eats things over 1"



the lfs worker also told me the silver tigers i was buying were the most aggessive fish there were and when i said 2 2" AT were going in with some 5"monos he said and they would not be responsable for anything they killed lol, and when i asked for some small senegal birchers he started trying to net a 10" delhezi so i showed him what i realy wanted and he netted me the "albino birchers" instead lol they arnt even close to albeno and were labled as senegal

so i no he was talkin crap but i still have never got any cherry shrimp due to what he said so is there an ounce of truth to the killer corys?

Say whaaaat? I have housed my cory cats with shrimp and never had any issues! I have a cory cat in with a crayfish right now and one in with my poly and I have had no troubles with them being eaten. I am no expert by any means but I highly doubt your cory would eat much more than leftover food, algae pellets, and other bottom droppings. Fry maybe, ghost shrimp or even RCS...doubtful. JMHO

i got bout 8 odd corys with my banboo shrimp, no problems XD, the corys stay away from the shrimp, if they dont they will soon find out whos boss

no way. cories will eat market shrimp, but they would never go after cherry shrimp

Cories can hardly prey on fry, let alone a shrimp. The cories are fine with anything else.
