I have noticed some of my Dats getting more stable as they age. Maybe being big and powerful has something to do with it. Or is it just my imagination?

Wish it was as easy as that....

I've had 2 ITs for 5 years. One was stable for about 2 yrs, then unstable for 2 years then stable for the last year.
The other one was unstable for 3 years, but stable for the last 2 years!!

Dang!
On the plus side i got most of my Dat off live today. Only my larger NGT still refuses to eat.

stable like in they are all ways yellow with black stripes contrasting really well and unstable as in they are all black or really black when there not to be

I think its a coin toss whether they will be stable or not in the future. What I observed though is that a dat will most likely be stable in a lighter environment (background or substrate). Its just a matter of adaptation for survival. Camouflage.
