Do dithers help with skittishness?

We usually use dithers to help with aggression but will dithers help skittish fish calm down?

The fish are 3 yellow tail ace's at 7-8" and one red tail at 4". They move around plenty and so far the big guys haven't ate the little red. These species are skittish no matter what. They are in a 6' tank. With plenty of floating plant cover, as well as plants at each end of the tank going top to bottom.

I understand that I will not be able to stop them from being skittish but I would like do everything i can to lower it.

Also what is your favorite dither?

I am thinking of a school of angels or dollars but idea's would be appreciated.
