Do dovii prefer sand or gravel?

I am thinking about changing my dovii tank over to sand but I only want to do it if they will enjoy it. What does everyone think? Sand or gravel?

Most of my tanks have sand, easy to use what I didn't like about the gravel was most of the stuff would fall in the cracks of the gravel/rocks would collect all of it but made it hard to clean. Sand to me is just easy..

might have more success trying to keep the tank looking as normal as possible with sand given dovii LOVE to house-keep.

This is the only tank I have left that is gravel. I'm not really worried about which is easier on me, more concerned about which the dovii would prefer.

From the replies and votes looks like I will be changing to sand so the ease of maintenance will be an added bonus. Anyone have any guesses on how long the dovii will pout after I change the tank over to sand/crushed coral?
