Do external gills regrow?

It seems that my 7"ish Weeksii has started to regrow his external gills or I am blind and did not notice them before not sure which at this point....

they can to some extent.

Under the correct circumstances the external gills can regrow but they will be smaller than its orginal external gills.-Anne

they are pretty small maybe 1/4 of an inch long. I just noticed them this morning when he was out foraging for food.

agree if there are still stubs remained, then under some circumstances they can regrow some. and weeksii do keep the external gills (or stubs) longer than some other species.

yes.
they will grow back if they had been damaged.
but something weird i noticed about my first endli was that his external gills got bigger as he grew..
