I have a large geophagus pair that is a proven pair but they have not breed considering they are in a community tank if I sell everything else and leave them in the tank by themselves would they breed again? The male is 12.5 inches female is probably 10.5

Any help and suggestion are greatly appreciated if I did sell my fish these guys would be in a 180 gallon by themselves and I'd just move my other fish around to my other tanks so they would have plenty of room to spawn I think a 180 would be big enough for these guys to breed right ?

Too big to breed? No. Too old to breed? Yes. If you want fish to breed, you should condition them with live foods or foods high in protein.

That's what I meant to old lol and by looking at my fish do you think it's possible for these 2 geos to breed I'd hate to sell my stock to give them there own 180 gallon and they can't breed anyone have input ?
