Do FRT's need to acclimate like fish before putting them into a new tank?

Do they need to go through a drip method like rays?

if its warm just dump it in.

are you getting it locally or is it being shipped? i always acclimate mine.
id rather not take chances.

I made sure the water was warm enough with mine and threw it in but i would agree with RTF, I wouldn't chance it. I would have if I knew better

with any animal, sudden vast changes in temperature can adversely stress it out.

getting it locally so the diff in temp. shouldnt be that great. thanks all...i will take some pics and post soon!!!

you may aswell aclimatise it, it wont hurt to be safe. as its a fully aquatic turtle, it'll appreciate it

i just dumped her in...temp was about the same anyways.

she doing fine and eating!!!

yeah, just putting them in is not a big deal if the temps are the about same. The tank should be cycled though, it has to drink the water it swims in.
