Do gold severums grow larger than others?

I picked up a gold severum at 2" about 5 months ago. Now he is as big as my old wild caught Rotkeil! He is not even a year old and he is HUGE! He grew very fast, faster than I thought he would and he is rounder and more chunky than my other severums.

Do gold severums grow faster and/or larger than other severums?

no, just depends on how much they eat, WCs, water quality, etc, etc

I have had the same experience. I got a gold at the same time as a green and they were both only about 1". My gold is now about 7" and the green is only about 4". I had previously owned a green that got to about 8" after about 3 years and added a gold that got to be the same size, but quicker.

The biggest sevs I've seen have always been golds. Either outright bigger, or thicker. Not sure why, but it certainly seems that way.
