Do Hermit crabs eat snails?

I have some Hermit crabs in a 5 gallon. I was wanting to add some snails but I don't know if the Hermit Crabs will try to eat them. Any advice?

Note: The Crabs are quarter sized(the smallest) and I would be wanting pea sized snails
