I've never seen a picture of one but I managed to get a picture of my male today and he seems to be developing a hump.

Does anyone else who keeps them have any males with humps?

Generally I think they grow humps similar to convicts, there are some out there that have monster humps, but they're few and far between. Generally the humps are in conjunction to breeding too

Yeah I didn't think it was too odd that mine was getting one, I just found it a bit weird that There isn't many pics on the internet of them with humps. Its all good cause now I have a new avatar

Jealous... hopefully mine will end up like yours soon (made a video update thread haha)

What does it say under your name?

thanks alot buddy, I stumbled across this fish already as an adult (and also part of a pair) but I have no doubt that yours will end up equally as good.
Under my name it just says Վերոնշյալ պատկերը պահպանվում which is something along the lines of the above picture is protected

Mine was 3 yo and never did grow a hump.

They do but its is nothing like the ones on Synspilums, Bifasciatus, Midas or Flowerhorn. But that being said even without a hump like that they are a great looking fish.

One of my males has a hump similar to yours and is a little over two years old

Thanks for the info guys, Sal how large is the 2 year old male you have? Cause I got this fish at the same size it is now so It could be 2 years old also
