Do I have a FW barracuda or African Pike?

He was given to me yesterday by a LFS. He didn't know what he was and he needed to clear tank space for a remodel. He is in a 240 with other ca/sa cichlids. I am concerned about feeding him as my other fish are on pellets.

he might take the pellets. if nothing else you can wean him off live. try krill and everything you can before getting live though. did you ask what the LFS was feeding him?

A very nice odoe..... Looks quite chunky...... Hopgully if he sees tankmates eat pellets he should copy and eat dry food aswell.

Thats a good looking Odoe.The bigger they get the more beautiful the tail becomes,very nice pick up.
