Ok I ordered 10 Blue Legged Hermit Crabs, a Torch Coral, a Cleaner Shrimp and Ulva Lettuce off a website (I'd rather not say what site as the guy is really nice, helpfull etc.)

I recived the Blue Legged Hermits the day after it was posted (Like its suppossed to) but never recieved any of the other items. So I phoned him up and said ive recieved these but not these, did you manage to send them all out at once, etc. So he phoned up the post office to see what had happened (I pressume) and left me an e-mail saying:

Hi keith im sorry ive been having arguments with the post office i use it looks like they sent the other box first class and of course i have no way of trackign this parcel im am going away tomo for the easter weekend hopefully it will arrive tomo and all will be ok please email me back on this email as i will be away and not on the phone sorry for the trouble.

What happens if they are dead??? Do I have any right to get my money back or another lot of the same items sent out? It has a "Live arrival garauntee"

Cheers,
Keith

There should be some kind of text on the website saying about the grantee of your order.

Yeah but hes saying the post office has sent it first class accidently, so who's fault is that? Mine, his or the post offices?

If he's as nice of a guy as you say he is, I would hope he would work something out with you if something did go wrong

Yes very true, if the vendor is claiming that I would ask for a receipt.
Other than that I really don't know.

from a contractual point of view if he promises live arrival, he is responsible for live animals reaching your door. Once it hits your door and is still alive its your responsibility.

shipping is his problem not yours. you should get new animals(or a refund what ever his gareentee is ) if those finally arrive dead.

Hoping it wont come to that. Only thing im worried about at the moment is, theyre in a poly box with heat thingys. But even at that, its snowing here right now (Sunny Scotland!) And having them die would be far far worse than losing the money for them. Hoping they just come tomorrow and they're all fine and happy!

Right, i've been up since 7am waiting on the post. Nothing yet, i've been downstairs with the dog so even the lightest knock shall be herd! lol Really hoping they're ok

contact him, tell them they still have not come. if he has a live arrival gurantee he either needs to refund you, credit you or ship those same items to you again with tracking.
