Hi,

I have a 70 gallon tank, running a eheim classic 600 (rated at 1000l/h) packed fully with ceramic rings, and in addition have an eheim 250 subfilter (without mechanical pump) connected in the setup which I use for mechanical filtration (filled with half filter pads and half filter wool). Do you guys think this is enough? I'm going through a small ammonia spike (0.5 ppm) after adding the first few fishes since my cycle completed.

Thanks alot.

I would say that you have a minimum right now for a lightly stocked tank. You will need to add more depending your stock levels.
