I have a 90 gallon with 1 oscar 1 green terror and 2 parrots ( all small right now) , they are messy eaters. I have a eheim 2075 and a penguin 350b hob water is crystal clear . When these fish get bigger the bioload will increase do you think I have enough filtration? Most of you like to over filter , I found some great deals online for fx5 (239 plus free shipping). Thanks for your help.

I've never owned a Eheim so I don't have any first hand experiance with them, but a FX5 would work for your set-up once your fish are fully grown.

You want to aim for water circulation between 5 and 8 times an hour.

The Eheim has a flow rate (when its clean) of 330gph the penguin is clearly 350gph, add them up that is 680gph when divided by 90 gallons that is a turn over rate of 7.9x an hour.

Its quite acceptable. You might desire a little more later on as the fish grow but I wouldn't consider it a burning need. Upgrading that penguin 350 to an Emperor 400 would be all I would do, and I wouldn't do that any time soon.

FY E-bay has tons of FX5's for $190 + $30 shipping.
